Hi all.
I got tickets for the Producers on December 10. I wished i could see Lane and Broderick, but I live on the other side of the Atlantic. The whole hoopla about their return though, made me feel sorry for the current cast. I bought a ticket because i wanted to see the SHOW, i don't mind who plays in it ! With everybody going crazy about Nathan and Matthew it's like they are the only thing worth seeing. I am not underestimating them, i think they are fabulous, but is the current cast that bad ? Isn't it a bit unfair to their efforts ? Did I waste my money ?
I don't know, I wanted to see it because I heard it's a great show and I have no regrets for buying a ticket. Am I the only one ?
Take care

Oh my GOD!
As least the Greek guy isn't a product of the US culture which is dominated by the entertainocracy of which this site and we posters are all a part. But you Roxy, what the hell is your excuse? You've just realized that this culture is dominated by celebrity and "hot tickets" rendered hot by the frequent repetion that the tickets are hot?????
Poor them! Yes! Poor Fred Applegate! The way you complain about every little thing Roxy, one would think you actually understand that things don't always go the way we'd like. Which any professional actor knows. God forbid professional actors have some bad blood between them. The show could grind to a halt.

To Greek Musical Fan
The show is better & bigger than Lane/Broderick. I saw a replacement cast & enjoyed it just as much. Were Lane/Broderick good ? Yes . Are they the whole show? No
By the way, on Playbill.com is the story about how Richard Dryfuss is being considered for Max in the London production of the Producers. Wonder if he can sing & will he be another Henry Goodman ?
