re: It's...

I have one friend going to see Riflemind and a couple are seeing Joseph I think so I'll pop by to say hi! *basks in glow from living near the West End* =D

And speaking of sarcasm I got told off for being sarcastic because "it's not nice to be on the recieving end"...usually my sarcasm it's horrid but this guy was just an idiot! re: It's...

re: It's...

Also why does the name Miss Sparkles suggest I'm about to burst into a a cabaret song (In a strangely masculine voice re: It's... ) whilst wearing a dress covered in sequins?

re: It's...

Sarcasm is a very British thing..my humour is very sarcastic, which does mean i offend people sometimes, which i should work on, but life wouldnt be fun if you didnt upset a few people along the way!

re: It's...

Oh yeah, of course life wouldn't be the same without sarcasm! It's especially fun with people that don't understand it...thanks to that people in my class think I'm a devil worshipping lesbian (I'm an atheist non-slut re: It's... )....they came up with "a cross between Pamela Anderson and that girl off star trek" themselves...they also compared me to a ninja because of the fact I brought a rubber to my art class..I don't think ANY of that is a compliment re: It's...
They're absolute idiots.

re: It's...

Just got home from Jest End. Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame. Take all of the wit and bite out of Forbidden Broadway, replace it with Gone With The Wind references and complaints about Equity pay and not one but two "oh sorry but this is an (x) audition" bits, songs from Footloose and Poppins (both long gone) and Mermaid (not here yet) but nothing from, say, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, Dirty Dancing, and you get the base.

Oh, and add drunken ensemble members in the back row who can't stop fiddling with loud beaded necklaces, and who keep getting up and down from their chairs to try and compensate for the lack of rake while constantly elbowing those in between and getting out just in time for Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road stations to have closed for the night...thank goodness Goodge Street hadn't closed its gates!

Maybe Forbidden Broadway should do its rehab in London. Please?

re: It's...

Sounds like a bum night!
Sadly 'Forbidden Broadway' has made 3 attempts to play London. Each with less than moderate success at The Fortune (1989 for 9 weeks), Albery (Coward) 1999 4 weeks and Jermyn St for 7 weeks.
In the mid 80s there was a show called 'Wicked Lips' that played late night shows at the old Donmar theatre that was a pure West End version of 'Forbidden Broadway' - a great show but again only managed a few months of two shows a week. It did reappear a few times over 2 or 3 years in different small venues.

re: It's...

Re FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, the first season at the Fortune Theatre in 1989 was a big flop, this was followed in 1999 by the season at the Jermyn Street (far more suitable size) which was a big success prompting the move to the Albery which was once again far too big a venue where it struggled for a couple of months before throwing in the towel. FORBIDDEN BROADWAY is very much a niche show, to expect good houses in a venue of more than about 200 seats is pure fantasy.

exedore, what show are you talking about?

re: It's...

'Jest End'
