"It's Too Darn Hot"

I currently have that tune playing on my stereo as a sarcasti hint to my otherwise oblivious and not too bright family members.
The teperature here is 99 dergees with a hest index of 105 and the A/C is busted....just like itr does every year four the last three years and just like the heat has done in the winter the last two. I have tried to explain to them that it would be cheaper to just by a new one than to spend a bundle of money two times a year to fix it when they know it will just break again but they don't listen. They just blow me off and tell me that it is pointless to but a new one when they don't NEED a new one. Yes, they are more than a little crazy.
Every window n the place is open, but there is little to no breeze.
This 20 year old Texan HATES Texas... especially in the summer.

We don't have AC either and I live in FL. No heat in the winter, no AC in the summer so don't feel rained on.

I live in the tropics - and we do have summer weather practically all year round... except for the monsoon and typhoon seasons when we get rain deluges

Just got back from a glorious day at the beach. The sun was out and there was a cooling breeze blowing off the ocean. My tan is coming along well. Right now I'm the color of gingerbread.

A native South Floridan here living in Manhattan for over 25 years...I hate the heat...spend the summer months in my A/C!

How can anyone live without it?

What does this have to do with Broadway?

Texas heat with no AC? I can only imagine. NY in summer is not that great either: "Hot town, summer in the city. Back of my neck getting burned so pretty" (Lovin' Spoonfull). Can't complain today though, I just got back from the beach at Sandy Hook, NJ. Not that far away and what a differnent world! Nothing to do with Broadway, except, this time of year we're looking into summer stock, West Side Story at Manasquan, NJ and Anything Goes at Dennis, MA next 2 weeks.

I live in NC where it gets REALLY hot in the summer, so I summer in NY!

It's funny that you're playing that song. Why don't you do the dance to "Too Darn Hot", and than we'll see how warm you feel.
