I revisited Spring Awakening tonight after 6 months and the show is in great shape. I think I made the right decision to go this weekend, as there were enough super fankids/"Guilty Ones" there tonight; I'm sure next Sunday they will have multiplied tenfold. I was again in awe of John Gallagher, Jr.; he has somehow gotten even better in the role; he is definitely the standout in the show to me. It'll be sad to see him go, but he'll definitely move on to fabulous things, in the near future, hopefully.
Actually, everyone got much better; there were less pitch issues overall, Estabrook's character changes are so clear now, Lauren Pritchard's scene at the top of Act 2 finally landed (out of the 5 performances I've seen in the past year+). For the first time, I enjoyed Lea Michele's performance- which surprised me, but I was very grateful. Minus the screaming kiddos, I really enjoyed the performance!
I think tonight may have been Stephen Spinella's last show; it had been up in the air as to whether it was or not. There were quite a few tears at curtain, and Michael Mayer popped up at curtain and gave him a few praise bows. Good luck to him!
Also spotted in the house, HSM's Lucas Grabeel. Interesting.

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
I was there last night as well, and was blown away. I did not expect to like it as much as I did, but the whole thing was stunning.
Gallagher was amazing. I've always liked him, and I can't imagine what the show will be without him, but hopefully he's got other things planned. He was outstanding!
Everybody was, really, but he was awsome!
And I got a picture with Grabeel...he was sitting three rows behind me.
To answer some of the questions in this thread: Jonathan B Wright was indeed in both shows on Sunday. Both Sunday shows were on TKTS, so I think there is a reasonable chance that the show will be at TKTS at some point next weekend (although it is closer to the holidays, so it is possible that it won't be). Sunday was indeed Stephen Spinella's last show.
