Does anybody in the know heard about an original cast recording of It Should Have Been You being made and released? I was sorry to hear it didn't recieve at least one or two tony noms as several friends who have seen it commented that it wasn't by any means a blockbuster but sertainly as good as First Date which had a okay run in NYC and produced a cast recording. I have my orders in for an American in Pairis and the The Visit. But am surprised that Something Rotten! and Finging Neverland don't appear for preorders on Amazon. I'm gonna stick with my off Broadway cast of Fun Home and will more then likely order Kelly O'hara's the King and I but still listen to th 1990's revival cast recording. Any help on news about these OBC's would be helpful, thanks.
Doubt either this or Dr Z will get recorded. Shame re Dr Z.
Rotten was recorded. Should be on Amazon shortly. FN is a mystery.

The fact that First Date opened in the fall probably helped it getting recorded, since the awards season was several months away. And it being as good as First Date isn't much to brag about, since that show also received no Tony nominations.
Always sad when a score doesn't get recorded. I actually quite liked what I've heard of it, pity I (and the rest of the world) won't have a chance to hear the rest.
Finding Neverland is definitely being recorded. Laura Michelle Kelly posted a vlog in the recording studio.
"FN is a mystery."
Finding Neverland is not a mystery at all. There have been countless photos of the cast recording the album in the studio.
The mysterious part of Finding Neverland is that the concept album was allegedly supposed to be released and yet isn't available to buy on Amazon, I think is what Roxy meant.
