I work at Broadway New York so we played the CD today in the store as soon as the shipment arrived. I'm not a big fan of jukebox musicals in general but this CD was very fun to listen to. The actors do a great job of actually sounding like the group and those who commented on it seemed receptive since they come from nearby to NYC.

i posted my review on Saturday when i got it....search.
I've heard a few clips on the website...and why on earth do they sound so shrill?
Just got the CD last night and I have been listening to it ever since. The booklet is informative but does not have any pix of the show (just shots of the recording session). I would've liked some more in depth information on each of the songs, when they were released, time on the Top 40 etc. Now, as for the CD itself, it's very good, as far as it goes. The pre-Sherry numbers are presented in medley form, with some dialog, and give a good feeling for how they are presented on stage. Most of the big hits are presented intact, sans dialog. There are some dialog lead-ins but they are short and unobtrusive. My biggest disappointment was that Stay/Let's Hang On/Opus 17/Bye Bye Baby are presented as a medley. C'mon, these are some of the greatest songs they ever recorded and they’re given short-shrift? Last complaint, I would've loved some 'extras', maybe an interview with each of the guys, or even Bob Gaudio, who produced the CD. Or even a hit song that was not in the show such as "Save it For Me", or "I've Got You Under My Skin". But overall the CD wonderfully captures the excitement of the show. Played side-by-side with an original Four Seasons CD, the resemblance is uncanny. Enjoy!
Got a copy of the CD. It's great. bryan should be very happy! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
