re: JLT out of Wicked this week?

Man I wish Jennifer's contract would be extended for about 5 more years. I thought she was loads funnier than Kristen, and she did much better showing the non-comedic side of Glinda. Comparing the acting and emotion in a scene like Thank Goodness between Jennifer and Kristin, Kristin's acting just seemed so dry and unmotivated.

I excited to see how Megan does though. I thought she had a magnificent voice, but her humor was sort of lacking ...

While I do not prefer Jennifer's interpretation of Glinda, she is nonetheless an excellent performer. I have heard ridiculously stellar "reviews" of her gratuity and rapport with fans. Having never met her personally, I cannot remark. However, after viewing the TODAY SHOW on Thursday, I just could not help but notice that, even though she barely spoke, something about her disposition said that she was just so..."nice." I dunno' how to explain it, but there you have it. Also, off and on the stage, she seems painfully hilarious. I just like her, damn it!

Since when did JLT not do matinees? I was in NYC during the third week of April and she definitely was on at the Wednesday matinee; I met her at the stage door.

She doesn't do Saturday matinees- it was part of the contract she signed when she extended. She does Wed and Sun matinees.

For those of you that were fan's of JLT's "chocolate and cheese" song/dance, she signed some posters for charity.

If you really want to help the American theater, don't be an actress, dahling. Be an audience..... Don't be taken in by the guff that critics are killing the theater. Commonly they sin on the side of enthusiasm. Too often they give their blessing to trash... Tallulah Bankhead

I personally think Wicked has THE best understudy cast, as well as regular cast on broadway :)
