Hey everyone!
So currently Jackie Burns holds the title for the longest running Elphaba. Who had the title before her?
I thought it was Dee Roscioli, but I could be wrong.
I believe it’s either Dee Roscioli or Willemijn Verkaik.
Updated On: 4/26/18 at 11:41 AMIs this new? She’s the longest running Broadway Elphaba so maybe that is what you’re thinking? I believe Willemijn still holds the overall title.
Congrats to her but im waiting for Jessica Vosk to get here lmao
I’m hoping we get an announcement re: Jessica joining Wicked this summer.

In terms of the Broadway production alone, she was already the longest serving Elphaba before she even came back in the summer. She was there for around 16 months between September 2011 and January 2013. Next was actually Idina herself at around 15 months (October 2003-January 2005).
In terms of overall performances as Elphaba around the world, she's still behind a few. Going by months spent as the lead Elphaba, here's an idea of some of the longest serving ones! :)
68 Months - Willemijn Verkaik (though she had an alternate for a lot of this, take what you want from that)
52 Months - Dee Roscioli (plus almost a year as a standby back in the day!)
46.5 Months - Rachel Tucker
45.5 Months - Jemma Rix (did around 10 months of a 50/50 role share in 2009 so I counted that as equal of 5 months, also usually had an alternate)
36 Months - Jackie Burns
31 Months - Kerry Ellis
30 Months - Jennifer DiNoia (but with a very long history of being an understudy/standby beforehand)
27 Months - Eden Espinosa
So thrilled to hear this about Jackie Burns! I remember seeing her when she first joined the tour and thinking she had a bright future with that kind of talent.
