I would post this on the Florida board, but since no one ever really updates on it, I hope you guys don't mind if I post this here...
I just bought pre-sale tickets on Broadway Across America for the "Hairspray" tour at the Jackie Gleason in Miami Beach. Since I live in Lauderdale, I usually go to Broward Center, so I've never been to the JG before. I was wondering if anyone who has or knows the the theater well could tell me if my seats are any good?
I am going Sunday February 16 at 7:00pm (Closing Night.) I am in ORCH, Row M, Seats 17 and 19. I believe these are on the Right side, but if anyone can help me with how they are, I'de REALLY appreciate it!

I have been to Jackie Gleason many times before. Here is a seating chart. Your seats seem to be pretty decent. Hairspray is one of my favorite shows.

#6re: Jackie Gleason (Miami) Question
Posted: 12/4/05 at 10:29pmI know the area pretty well. I used to do stuff at Ft. Lauderdale Children's Theater around there and I go to Broward Center pretty frequently. I was there for Evita a few weeks ago.

Uhh- I wanted to see Evita so bad but never got around to getting tickets. However, 1 day my friend asked if I wanted her 2 tickets for free because she couldn't go. I had such a horrible day that day and wasn't in the mood to go but decided I would call my friends and ask if they wanted to go with me. All of them were freaking out over "FREE EVITA TICKETS" but all of them were either working (and couldn't get out of it) or up north for that weekend.
To make a long story short, I didn't get to go.
Misto- do you live down here or just go to college?
#8re: Jackie Gleason (Miami) Question
Posted: 12/4/05 at 11:41pmI live in FL. I actually go to college in Boston. Evita was a hard show to follow at times, plot not always made clear, but Sarah Litzsinger was pretty good in the title role.

Oh...ya, I like going back home to PA because then I can take a short train ride to NYC...lol
I saw Movin' Out in NYC and it wasn't the greatest so I am choosing to skip that one.
If you haven't seen it though, it is good at least to try it.
#12re: Jackie Gleason (Miami) Question
Posted: 12/5/05 at 12:03amI have never seen Movin Out before because every time I am in NYC I say "if i don't get into [insert show] then I will try for Movin Out," but I do get into [insert show] so I don't go to Movin Out. Also their student ticket policy isn't as good as other shows. It is one of those shows where you have to read the synopsis over like 3x before seeing it. It is possibly the only musical on B'way I haven't seen yet (not counting what opened in the new season)
