both of them really get to show off.... shosh gets to really riff and wail, les does some, but not quite as much.. not to mention barrett foa and chad kimball each turning in some great numbers......

I can almost guarantee that a new swing was in for Leslie as Shelly for that performance, as that would be the only reason for Brenda (Michelle) to do the riff. Either way, the standard 99 times out of 100 performances you would see Shelly doing it.
And maybe on the recording it is listed as Brenda (Jenn) but I really doubt that it's her. It doesn't sound like her at all, and Shelly has always been a 'featured vocalist' part, as she also does the 'Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now' Outro.
