What a delightfully dark, acidic, and hilarious recording. Hoffman is a gifted performer, not for those who are easily offended, and this CD is an absolute treasure. Get it!

One question though. I've seen "Hairspray, once with Hoffman, a couple of times. She has a song in her solo show called "Three Minutes on Broadway". Her total stage time goes beyond three minutes, right? I know it's a smaller role, with several great moments, but I thought she was on stage for a tad longer.
She was.
She played Penny's Mother, the Prison Warden, and Gym Teacher. She's on stage for more than three minutes.
I just wateched Garden State again and love her in her part at the funeral.
She's brilliant in everything she does.
Her section on her hatred of children is hysterical.
I've never seen her do her act, I would probably keel over from laughing so hard.
She was crazy fun back stage with Hairspray when I was learning the dressing track for the tour.
I wonder if her CD was submitted for Best Comedy Album for the Grammy's. It's laugh-out-loud funny.
