Jackie Hoffman, who opened the Manhattan Theatre Club's world-premiere production of Regrets Only, will return to her home-away-from-home, Joe’s Pub, in 2007.
The comedic actress — best known to Broadway audiences for the several characters she played in the Tony-winning musical Hairspray — will bring her latest show, Jackie with a Z, to the intimate cabaret located within the Public Theater. Hoffman is scheduled to perform at Joe’s Pub Feb. 12 and 19 and March 5 and 19. Michael Schiralli will direct the evenings with musical direction by Bobby Peaco. Show time is 7:30 PM.
Hoffman’s previous outings at Joe’s Pub were titled Chanukah at Joe's Pub and the critically acclaimed The Kvetching Continues, which she premiered at the downtown venue and later brought to Hollywood's The Renberg Theatre. In Kvetching, Hoffman skewered her Broadway debut and also offered a handful of original songs, including "Three Minutes on Broadway"; a reworking of Stephen Sondheim's "I'm Still Here," sung from the perspective of a spoiled child actress; a tribute to the Jewish holiday "Shavuot"; "Eurotrash," based on a recent let-down-of-a-trip to Italy; and "Gay Baby," a lament about the unavailability of her gay friends (and former playmates) who are now having children.

Just bumping this to spread the word. Jackie's shows the past 2 years have been hysterical, and I have no doubt this one will be just as much of a riot!
