Jacob Clemente as Billy Elliot

Yesterday was my 6th time seeing Billy Elliot and Jacob Clemente played Billy. I don't know if it was because I had wonderful seats this time (3rd row, center) or because Jacob is just that amazing--- but I was so moved by his performance. Not only was his dancing very good, but his acting was just so touching. I haven't really felt that moved before. (Obviously, I love the show---I keep going back) Has anyone else had this impression of Jacob's performance?

I saw Jacob Clemente as Billy. While his dancing wasn't the sharpest of the Billys I've seen ("Swan Lake" was rather disjointed when I saw him), Clemente is a fine young actor with plenty of seemingly genuine emotion in his performance. His letter sequences with Mum are particularly effective.

And somewhat off-topic, the show is worth a revisit if you're a fan of Emily Skinner. She's doing fantastic work as Mrs. W.

I enjoyed Emily's performance, but had to listen very carefully because her articulation wasn't quite as clear as the prior (can't remember her name)performer. I know the dialogue so I had an advantage, but the people I was with had a more difficult time. I got used to it as the show progressed and it became easier. (other people behind me voiced the same opinion, btw). Her acting and dancing were very good---I think she needs to master the accent, maybe?
