'Jacques Brel' Off-Broadway revival recording?

Just wanted to see if there were any updates on this.

Does it still seem like a possibility or is it known that it will not be recorded?

No insight, but I was there on Sunday and they were still collecting signatures. I would be distraught if this isn't recorded.

I was kind of hoping it would be there when we see it memorial day weekend.

I usually never sign petitions but i will sign this one - may be twice in a different handwriting & name

LOL....I've signed as every member of my family...and using all the variations of my name.

I think that Natascia Diaz's versions of Old Folks and My Death are the most achingly beautiful things I've ever heard.

And, of course, If We Only Have Love is a song for the ages.

It was such a perfect way to spend Mother's Day...

Last I heard - from someone who would know - it is on track, but they haven't set a date. It could still fall through (money being the obvious issue I guess), but if the show continues to sell well and run through the summer as expected, we'll get a CD (or 2)!

I don't think signing up will make a difference - everyone wants to make the recording, they don't need X people to ask for it. The names are a list of people to market it to once it's made...

Fractured her elbow

But have no fear, it is on the way to healing. She is doing therapy which consists of, in part, reaching into her wallet & pulling out her charge card

Bumping this after the great performance at last night's Drama Desks.

I really think it would be a shame if this is not recorded. Anybody know of anything about this *possibly* being recorded??
