Remember when there were announcements about a new play that Jake G was interested on doing? It took its name from a Washington DC metro stop. It was supposed to be done on Bwy around election time.
Any word on the project?

Oh yea, it was supposed to be a musical actually, and Gyllenhaal has a nude scene. The title was "Every Gay Mans Dream Come True".
I think its going to open right around the same time as the BASIC TRAINING OF PAVLO HUMMEL revival with Leonardo DiCaprio happens.

Farraghut North is the play, Atlantic Theater is doing it with John Gallager Jr in the fall or spring, I beleve.

Why are some people acting like it's so ludicrous for Jake Gyllenhaal to appear in a play on Broadway? He's a fine actor (stole Brokeback Mountain as far as I'm concerned) and I'd like to see if he can carry off a play. Probably wouldn't happen because of the money/scheduling angles, but IMO, he has the raw talent to give it a try. How's about the older son in Long Day's Journey or Tom in The Glass Menagerie? Just daydreaming, but . . . .

That's correct, Yankeefan007. So no Jake Gyllenhaal.

Jake did This Is Our Youth in London back in 2002 and was quite good. Also in the cast was Anna Paquin (who was also good) and Hayden Christensen (who was not).

A play whose title derives from a DC metro station starring Jake G? It's a shame it's not FOGGY BOTTOM, the stop right after the Farragut one.

He's a little long in the TOOTH(Y TILE) but Jake G. ought to replace that Harry Potter kid in EQUUS

Then the pandemonium around the Broadhurst would be overwhelming. How would I squeeze into Sardi's with that going on?
