#0Jarrod's next musical?

O.K. (attention! Piglet!) - as indicated in recent news stories
here and elsewhere - the new Elvis Presley musical "All Shook Up" (not about Elvis at all - but using his music) is starting its pre-Broadway Chicago run on Dec. 21 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre...which means rehearsals in November.
Meanwhile, there is the Goodspeed version of the same show this spring - but the casting there has made it very clear that the cast for Broadway would be different.
This is the show, which under the title of "Can't Help Falling in Love" starred Jarrod Emick in the lead for its workshop performances pre-BFO last year. And was the best workshop since "Hairspray".
With his current contract in BFO completed in time, Jarrod would be able to go straight into this new musical in the starring role.
At least the timing is perfect, which it wasn't before.
So, keep your fingers crossed.
P.S. It has the same director as Jarrod's "Rocky Horror Show" - Chris Ashley.

Yes, please read the second paragraph of the original post.
The cast of the upcoming Goodspeed edition has been told that they are not the Broadway cast --- the Broadway edition for later in the year will be cast separately. They are two totally separate productions.
And you are right, Jarrod couldn't do the one in Goodspeed without exercising some kind of "out" in his contract which of course during Tony time is not in the cards.

Issa...I wish Jarrod nothing but luck. I hope you are right...you usually are!!!! I think he would be a wonderful leading man, I just hope the show is as good as it was during the readings.
Issa...on this one, I can't post publicly about what I have to say...so even if you don't respond...do read my PM.
