yes it's rather unforntunate that he's living elsewhere at the present time, but it is my understanding that he won't be staying an entire year, only a few months. can't wait for the new shows, though. his cabaret things that he does are incredibly humorous as well. the caucasion rhythem kings ruuuule

I love the stuff he's written so far (except Urban Cowboy - I hated that show)...but The Last 5 Years is one of my favorite scores, and Parade always moves me.

Posted: 6/25/04 at 10:35amThat is correct-not one but TWO new musicals. I went to his show at Au Bar and heard a song from his one of them-it's excellent, he sang it with Brian D'arcy James. He also has his solo album coming out in October! I Can't wait!!!

redhottinny, does JRB really act like the "savior of writing"?
That's so disappointing.
I figured that after writing the L5Y lyrics, he would know better.
Sadness.
Oh well.
Love him anyway!

He doesn't really appreciate his fans; just himself.
Amazing composer though.

Posted: 6/25/04 at 4:04pmIts a shame when someone so young and so talented couldn't care less for what his public (who pay his bills) thinks of him. Writers, just like actors and every other person involved in the entertainment industry, should remember that its the people who support and buy their works, who put the money in their pockets to be able to continue writing/acting/managing..whatever... Oversized-Egos in this business continue to abound, but it is really the worst place for them.
