I'm not good at writing reviews so let me just say that this was one of the best nights in theatre I have EVER experinced! I can't get over how great it was! Go see it! I sat in the middle of the balcony (row c) and it wasn't full. There were a lot of empty seats up there. Everyone there had a great time! After the show I waited by the stage door with a few other people and he came out about an hour and a half later and was suprised we actually waited. If you haven't, go see it!

I need to see this. Everyone I know who has seen it raved about it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Even if you HATE ventriloquism or still have nightmares about Chucky coming to get you almost 20 years after seeing CHILD'S PLAY, this show will save you. Jay Johnson is hilarious. And, he does something few comedians or performers are able or even allowed to do -- he develops a really wonderful and engaging relationship with seemingly every individual in the house. At times, I actually felt like he was telling me, and only me, his story. His performance is so understated, you might actually believe your sharing an exchange over a long supper or a few really giddy-inducing cocktails. If you're planning to see this show, try to get their quickly. I don't know how many weeks it can stand to stay open with capacity percentages hovering in the mid-20s.

Also, engaging is Johnson's blog:

I completely agree with everyone. GO SEE IT. I've seen it twice now and loved it just as much the second time around. It's full of suprises and each of his 'co-stars' re: Jay Johnson Review 11/10/06 has such a unique, interesting and opinionated character. It's just a great night at the theater!
