Jazz Song for show

Hey! I need a NON-romantic song for two characters that are getting coffee together. Must be Jazz. It also has to show time passing-by the end of the song they are friends. I know it's tough but maybe theres a jazz expert out there that could find me the right song. For my senior vocal recital.
Help would be appreciated asap!

You could easily make "I Getta Kick Out of You" a duet and it is jazzy and form Anything Goes

just thinking (I sing in a Jazz band)
how bout

Stranger on earth (lisa ekdhal)
Straight no chaser (I know it's a standard)
A night in tunesia (you could make up some words)

can you take an old Broadway standard and make it into a Jazzy version...?

jazz standards are what I'm looking for-a bway one would have to be well arranged... Prefer to not have to arrange it-just have the sheet music... Anyways, if anyone has anymore suggestions I'd love them!
If it helps I'm a baritone that can go up to an A flat.

Birth of the Blues perhaps?
Tangerine - more swing than jazz but a fun song
Route 66
Friendship - not jazz but a good non-romantic duet and could be jazzed up I'm sure.

Check out the Manhattan Transfer's recording of "Java Jive"--definitely jazzy!
