Yesterday I saw the play Blackbird with Jeff Daniels and it was a very good show. After the performance I waited to meet Jeff & get his autograph. I waited near the stage door on 57th street but didnt see him. Does anyone on this site know if he is signing autographs and is he leaving via the stage door or 56th street doorway? A few weeks back I met Christine Baranski as she arrived at the theater for Regrets Only and she went in via the stage door and was very nice and signed an autograph for me. Thanks for whatever ever info you folks may have.

It depends on the day I guess. After the first preview on March 15, he left by the 55th street lobby exit. After the show this past Thursday(April 5), he popped out into the lobby for a second, signed an autograph for me, and then left through the stage door (I assume because he did not come out again). I was happy to meet him, but a little bummed when I couldn't get a picture with him (Alison Pill did pose with me). He said he had to go.

Do you mean the lobby downstairs on the same level as the theatre itself or upstairs near the box office window?
Also Thank you very much for the information.

He came out into the lower lobby, where you enter MTC stage I and II.
