Rob Evan is listed on the CD. Does he sing any songs or part of any songs on the CD ?? If so, which ones ????
Thanks
There's the highlight CD (Wilkinson-Eder) the Original Concept CD (Warlow-Carmello-Noll) and the OBC ( Cuciolo-Eder-Noll). To my knowledge, Rob does not sing on these. There is however a special J&H Highlight CD featuring Rob Evan who sings "I Need To Know TITM, Alive, Once Upon A Dream, Confrontation." This CD is available through Rob's site at www.robevan.com (I just copied one for a friend).

Well, I think Rob Evan was the first to perform the role of Jekyll & Hyde on Broadway. As for the CD...which recording are you looking at? I don't think he was on the most current recording from 1997.

Was the two cd album, from the First Tour, or the Prior Broadway try out?
Stevos
Yikes. I can't stop myself... As I recall, Cucciolo did the pre-Bd'w with Rob as "standby". When it opened on Bd'w Robert Cucciolo was the lead, Rob was the "alternate" doing Wed/Sat matinees. He took over lead when Cooch left the show...and the list of Jekylls goes on and on. It's a long and confusing change of comand...and this ole brain hopefully got it right. Gosh, knows I should!
Stevos~ not sure which came first the double Concept CD (Warlowe) or the Highlight CD (Wilkinson). Both were prior to Bd'w opening, for sure. Don't have them in front of me.
I think I am looking at the 1997 one with Cuciolo - Elder, I bought it at the theater. Rob is listed, but wondered if he sings in it at all. Guess not.
I'll check out Rob Evan's site for that other recording, thanks !!
Rob Evan was indeed the cover on the Prey-Bway tour, but towards the end of the run, it was simply Dave Clemmons, who understudied the role.
Bob Cooch sings all the J/H songs on the CD, Rob is just listed with the rest of the cast because he was the alternate. (And on a sidenote, I enjoyed Rob's mini disc of the songs!)
Kev, another Jekkie
too smart you are kev! Onr thing I like about Rob's "highlights" is the arrangement of "Confrontation". They slowed it down and dubbed in both voices...very evil! That's the version that should have been in the shows! Also, loved the pre-bd'w " Confrontation" version of the projected imagine of Hyde in the mirror as opposed to the the high speed "Hair ballet". OYE!
I still think Cooch's Hyde was tops! Of course no one beats Warlow, imho. Rob thinks he's tops too. Although he told me many years ago that he actually loved and learned the music via the Colm Wilkinson tape. Sang it over and over. There are some selections written for J&H on that tape that are not found anywhere but there. "Love Has come of Age" and ???? have to look up the others.
the only reason he has a credit is because he was the standby for Robert Cuccolli
