I see that the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta will be doing a production of Jelly's Last Jam in March next year. This is absolutely one of my favorite shows. It left such an impression on me even though I was only eleven when I saw it.
From what I understand, this musical has never been revived! I've been searching all over for the company that holds the rights to this show (or anything written by George C Wolfe...) Would any of you happen to know?

Posted: 12/1/05 at 10:56amI've used this site a lot for exactly this purpose (finding out who holds the rights to a property): http://www.musicals101.com/alphinde.htm. It says that the rights aren't available, so the Alliance must have made special arrangements with the authors. Maybe this is the first step toward a revival or toward the release of the rights or something.
