Kristin has great operatic technique. When she tries to use her "Broadway belt," she sings completely from her throat and strains to reach those notes.

A good example of this is in the Wicked Tony Awards performance. Watch Kristin from "...If we work in tandem". She strains her neck and later throws her head COMPLETELY back to "belt" the higher notes. Mind you, she masks it as a character choice, but she has awful belting technique.

When I saw Hairspray in its' second night on Broadway, I thought of Jennifer Holliday. I knew that she would be wonderful.

I also thought of Lillias White and Sharon Wilkins. They would all be great as Motormouth!

I think she could probably easily handle the material in Hairspray.

But what about Lillias White? Has she ever done Hairspray? I'd LOVE to see her in the role!!!!!!
