Forgive me if there was already a post about this...I have been away for a while. Did anyone catch that photo and little article by Ben Brantley about Miss Wills from WT in the Friday Times? What an utter valentine to her. Brava! I am also very excited about the new recording. I thought Ms. Shields and Miss Wills were delightful.

I checked online but was unable to find the story. Can you give a link? Thanks.

Sorry...I don't think there is a link. It wasn't an actual stand-alone story. It was in the back of the arts section with the theatre listings where sometimes a performer is featured. I still have the paper. There was a beautiful 4x6 color photo of her singing "Ohio" followed by a virtual valentine written by Ben Brantley ending with the quote, "When this Eileen sings, 'mmm...I'm a little bit in love,' with the relaxed contentment of a cat in mid-stretch, it's unlikely that anyone in the audience doesn't feel the same about Ms. Wills." It was great...I can't wait to get the new CD to hear her far superior voice singing that music. I wonder what could be next for her....maybe "Galinda" or "Mary Poppins"? It is exciting to watch a new young star.

Good for her!
So, Brantley would be in heaven if Jennfier Hope Wills and Kristin Chenoweth were in a show together!
Hm...

For once, Mr. Brantley and I agree on something.
I didn't get a chance to read the article in The Times, but this thread has just made my day. I absolutely adored Jennifer Hope Wills in Wonderful Town, and her rendition of "A Little Bit In Love" was pure Heaven. It was also a joy to watch her doing the Irish jig.
Yea for Jennifer!! This attention couldn't be happening to a sweeter gal! :)
Not to say "I told you so", but I told you so. :) LOL. Sorry, Jen is an old friend and acting buddy I have sung her praises on this board perhaps a bit too often, but I'm so proud of her I could bust. I saw her last Saturday on and off stage and she's truly an amazing performer and an equally great person. Bravo Jen!
