Jerome Robbins/Leonard Bernstein's THE DYBBUK#1

Just returned from New York City Ballet, where a full revival of the Leonard Bernstein/Jerome Robbins ballet THE DYBBUK (1974) has been mounted for a limited number of performances. For those
who have never seen the genius of Mr. Robbins' work via live performance, this is an incredible opportunity to see dance and
storytelling on an artistic level that actually makes today's Broadway dancing look laughable.
Danced to perfection, incredibly designed, and accompanied by a 75 piece orchestra (Bernstein's own orchestration) and two solo male voices; the piece is overpowering.
The audience went wild at the conclusion, and I spotted a number of Broadway creatives in the audience screaming full-voiced bravos at the outstanding ensemble and soloists.
