This from Broadway.com:
From Jaime Moreno-Valle: It is great to see the timelessness of your work! Now my question: Is there any chance we will get a different La Cage on the revival's CD? (e.g. an Entr'Acte, the Promenade, exit music, etc.) I just think to all of us fans of the original cast recording, it would be a great bonus, besides of course the thrill of a new version of a great show.
Jerry responds: Dear Jaime, I am with you all the way. If we do a new album, it will contain every note and every word of the new production. I would especially enjoy having the Promenade and the Entr'Acte captured forever.

"If we do a new album?" That doesn't sound very promising...

yay! i saw and loved the show! i cant wait!
That's fabulous! I really hope they go through with it. Cross your legs and wait.
I'm sure they will. And if Brooke Shields takes over as Albin
we might even get TWO!
How about an all female version? Brooke as Albin and Melanie Griffith as Georges?

*shudder*
Wildcat, LOL!!!!
Yes - I didn't like the sound of that 'IF' either. They should know for sure by now if an album's going to be made or not. This would be a terrible disappointment for me if it doesn't come about.

How is the show doing, box office-wise? You'd think if it was a big enough hit, a new recording would be a given.

I have heard the show is not doing that great at the Box Office, although, I do not have statistics to back that up. However, notice only one or two weeks post opening it was on the boards at TKTS and is still there.
I have heard the main goal from this show was to take it on the road, where financial returns are more prevalent.

Last week's attendance was 78.4%, down from 81.5% the week before, so its not doing TOO bad (better than 70.6%, and it got a recording)
