What an immense talent he is. I wish him all the best and hope he has a speedy recovery.

Patinkin is recovering nicely from his surgery. With early detection and fast treatment this type of cancer has a really high recovery rate.

I wish him the best. He is a good actor...and I am hoping that now that he's finished with TV for awhile he can do some stage work when he is feeling up to it.

Yes it's "Trial By Jury" and it's scheduled to air sometime in 2005.

I just want to thank you guys so much. It is sooo good that I know this in advanced because I am best friends with his grandaughter and she will be very upset about it tonight and she probably hasn't called me yet because I am in school but I will know to call her first :) Thank you soooooo much, I am sure that Jerry would be very touched by your guys "best wishes" :)

Someone very close to me just got the all clear on his prostate cancer treatment. It was not easy, but finally worth the pain of the treatment. Hang in there, Jerry, we are all rooting for you. You are a treasure to the community. Take care and get well soon.

oh God, this can't be happening! He is my FAVORITE actor. I absolutely adore my Jere. I will being saying prayers for him. Law & Order just isn't the same anymore...

He seems like one of the nicest guys in the business. I'm looking forward to hearing the inevitable news about his full recovery. After that, how about a triumphant return to Broadway??!?!?!!!

Yes, I knew that he was doing another series but from my understanding it is not as demanding nor does it focus centrally on him so he will have more time off. Would still like to see him do some stage work again.

I did see that the network has released a statement saying that the shooting schedule will not be affected by his treatment or illness.

THat is the main reason that Jerry "switched series", it isn't as demanding!
