I got this CD this weekend, and have listened to it a couple of times. I like it very much, for the most part. I wish they had included a lyric sheet instead of just a plot synopsis. Some of the choral singing (and there is a lot of it) is rather difficult to understand.
The score is great, very funny and shocking. It reminds me of South Park: scatological lyrics, appearances by God and Satan, some catchy showbiz tunes. If it isn't quite as good as South Park, well, I'm not going to hold that against them, because few things are as good as South Park when South Park is really rolling.
Anyone else heard this yet?
"If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about the answers." Thomas Pynchon, GRAVITY'S RAINBOW
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." Philip K. Dick
