EMMA refused to do this, unless she could star in the Denmark opening and the Swedish national tour.

Posted: 9/19/08 at 8:32pmall i can say is, i know who was the original director of this piece, and IMHO they are much better off with Zaks. However, if the original director can be believed, it cost them....he had a pay or play contract, so got his NYC fee anyway. And i think he co-wrote some of it (god help them) so he will probably get royalties too. Nothing like "failing up."
