Jersey Boys---one year next Tues.

Is anyone going to the show next Tuesday night? On the website it says there will be a party or food of some sorts after the show. I'm debating going lol but probably can't, I have the most classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays/my school is in the middle of mid-terms.

re: Jersey Boys---one year next Tues.

I wanna go Tuesday, but I have the same problem. GRRRR.

And I'm already missing on Friday to go Camping with some friends. And in order for me to get to the show Tuesday Night, I'd have to leave early. So I guess I can't. re: Jersey Boys---one year next Tues.

I'm done with my life story now!

Blaghk!!! I wish I did not have class all day on Tuesdays! I would skip, except it's a once a week-er. Darn.

tonight's show

Just because I should probably stop making new threads for every time I see JB here...

LOVED it (of course)! They've begun taking donations for BC/EFA and someone donated $1,000 and got some sheet music signed by the real Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio, which was awesome.

Rashad Naylor and Craig Laurie never cease to crack me to pieces, they are hilarious and extremely talented. Drew Gehling tore it UP during "Cry For Me" (it was totally boss) and was so nice to Lake, his friends, and I at the stagedoor. Cory Grant did very well, I think his voice especially fits the "young Frankie" parts and he was also INCREDIBLY nice to us at the stagedoor.

Michael Ingersoll was gone tonight and Dominic Bogart did a great job filling in---obviously they play the role differently, and I don't necessarily have a preference for one over the other, but it was great to see Dominic Bogart in the "spotlight" this time, he's got a great voice. A few others had switched roles as well, I forget who...oh and Michelle Knight as Mary Delgado also cracked me up tonight!! "Because Y is a bulls*it letter" lol :)

Wait, what are you hinting at?

I don't think Lake's necessarily hinting at anything, but Jeremy Kushnier left awhile ago, Jarrod Spector is gone, and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Drew Gehling, Michael Ingersoll, or any of the other cast members left either for other JB productions or for other projects ::shrug:: lol although I hope nobody leaves, I love this cast!! :)

Yeah, but Jeremy left to go to Vegas and then Toronto, and Jarrod went to Broadway. I don't think any Bobs anywhere else are leaving, and unless Drew is going to be the Canadian cast Bob, he wouldn't be leaving for the same reasons as Jarrod and Jeremy.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean Drew will be playing Bob until he's 40. tonight's show

As much as I did love the show, I did prefer Jarrod over Corey. And We should expect Drew to move on soon. Why would anyone want to be stuck playing the same part in a show for so long? Then the actor starts to become type cast. Look at Jennifer Holiday.

I know it hasn't been that long. But still we should expect him to move on at some point.

You seem rather fixated on that. tonight's show You do realize Michael Ingersoll has been with the show longer than anyone else in the Chicago JB cast, right?

Well, exactly. Not that people can't stay in a role past a year, but at this point it would be a reasonable assumption to make that since 2 of the "original" 4 guys have left this company that maybe Drew or Michael will be next. They certainly don't HAVE to leave (we don't WANT them to, lol), and I have no information indicating that they WILL be, but it would not be any shock at all if one or both of them did.

No on H8te!

I feel like an idiot for replying to this thread a million times but oh well, haha. Fun news---I saw Craig Laurie (who plays Bob Crewe) at the Prop 8 protest today! I wonder if any other performers were there...

Rashad Naylor and Craig Laurie were out today, John Michael Coppola was pretty good in Rashad Naylor's place :) Everybody else tore it up as usual. I don't know what I will spend my money on when this show is gone, haha. Xanadu probably :)

That's assuming that Jersey Boys closes before Xanadu does... and I don't see that happening.

Who was on as Bob Crewe?
