Wow.. I didn't realize how scaled down the show has gotten, until I watched the videos from above. Ouch.

no issue with you not liking what you heard. if that's what you had originally posted, i wouldn't even have logged in. my issue was with you asserting that the show is played by two live musicians and tracks, which is completely untrue, and needed to be corrected.

and while i'm ringing in, those videos are not from "the international tour".
that is a licensed production that was mounted in milan, italy. they got the script and score, and the right to do their own production (the "foreign language rights" have been released, the domestic stock and amateur rights are not yet available). you're essentially looking at a local production. any elements of it which mirror the original staging, set, costumes, lighting are actually violations of the deal -- they did not acquire the rights to the work of those designers.

Thank you apronximatura! I am just a audience member and only go with what I saw and the night we saw it we all seemed to come away with the same disappointment.

But don't you see what saying blatantly false information does, Not seeing a band/orchestra on stage or in a pit is nothing new. I mean you could look in the program and am pretty sure they have a list of the musicians. Sure you can like or dislike whatever you want, but to throw up bogus information and then defend it while you are being battered with facts with someone who obviously knows what they are talking about......SMH

I didn't do any of that. And most reviews from that engagement echoed my same feelings. I know what I saw and how cheap and bad it looked and sounded. And as far as "someone who knows what they are talking about"... there are many of these so called people on here. I don't know them and I don't take their statements as valid. ( and I mean that in general.. not this specific person) Most people tthat work in different companies would never, ever, post here. And as far as their being more than two musicians on the show.. that makes the fact that this show sounded the way it did even worst.

Right. Just because someone has insider info doesn't make the opinion of the person who witnessed the final product any less valid.
If I hate a meal at a restaurant I normally like, no amount of "I know what I made for you!" from the kitchen staff is going to convince me that my opinion of that meal was wrong.

I'm confused. Is this tour equity or non-equity. The leads seem to have credits that are Broadway and other National Tours. But the schedule seems very truck and bus-like.

Wait, how can you say you didn't spread misinformation? You flat out, blatantly said "And yes the music was in tracks except for a drummer and a keyboard", which has been proven to be false. Of COURSE you can share your opinion, but that doesn't sound like an opinion to me. Sounds to me like you're just mad someone proved you wrong, and you're lashing out like a certain president.
I also don't understand what "there are many of these so called people on here" means. You don't think people in the business read this board? Adam Guettel posts here, for God's sake. If he came on and said "No, Piazza was written for 15 musicians", you would say "You don't know what you're talking about, sir"?
Learn how to admit you're wrong. It's hard at first but it does get easier.
