Posted: 12/5/05 at 4:07amI figured this is a break from the RENT threads... I don't know how many of you have seen this show but if you haven't you really need to! It is better than all the other "jukebox" musicals I ever saw... get your tickets now because it has been sold out almost every performance from what I hear. The boys are amazing though and ever so sweet after the show.

I loved it. I need to get that recording.
JLY and Daniel Reichard are incredible.
I smell success and Tonys for this show.
Who didn't love it? My webmaster sleeps through most theater, he wanted to dance during Jersey Boys.

I adore this show! Love all 4 main characters, but mmmmmmm that JLY is soooooooooooooooo adorable! Caught his interview on Live at Five with Sue Simmons and loved this exchange:
JLY: ...put hair on my chest.
SS: Let me see!
Sue - a girl after my own heart!

Posted: 12/5/05 at 5:57pmBecause I work at the theatre, I hear pretty much every opinion imagineable. But I will say that I haven't heard one single person come out of the theatre saying that they didn't like it. Everyone so far as liked it or loved it.

Let me say this again, I LOVED IT!
LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!
Additionally, I could not take my eyes off of them.
John Simon liked it. Enough said.

Posted: 12/5/05 at 9:13pmHave any of you guys gone to the stage door? How is the cast with signing/taking pictures? I hope to see it soon and really want to meet the cast.

Posted: 12/5/05 at 10:32pmThey are all nice. The 4 Boys come out quickly and talk and sign and take photos. Some times the ensemble (epically the girls) tend to run away quickly but if you ask there all nice.

Posted: 12/6/05 at 8:58amThey couldn't be nicer at the stage door. Lots of autographs and pictures and real conversation. We brought an 85-year old friend in a wheelchair and they were so sweet to her ('What's your name?' ' Where are you from?' , 'How did you like the show?). She didn;t stop talking about it for days. They are the nicest guys imaginable and their success is well deserved.

They are all the nicest and sweetest guys.
Here is an interview with one:https://www.corinescorner.com/Interview_with_John_Lloyd_Young.htm
Did anyone go to Daniel Reichards show last night at the Ars Nova? The man is a comic genius. I was laughing so hard last night I was afraid my chair would tip over.
John Robert Spencer is cuter in person! I sat next to him last night. He is gorgeous. And a Gentleman!

Good work, Corine! And speaking of Daniel Reichard, here's an interview we just did with him about 'Jersey Boys' and his 'Glory Daze' show at Playbill.com.

I can't get to Jersey Boys yet but it's first on my list when I get back to NYC.
I did however pick up some Franki Valli and the 4 Seasons CDs and I will get the cast album to JERSEY BOYS as well.
Those songs are timeless.
My father was a HUGE, HUGE Frankie Valli fan so I grew up with that music around the house.

No I haven't seen HAIRSPRAY since it first opened.

You just made my day. I thank John for being the sweetest guy and his wonderful press agent Heath!

Posted: 12/6/05 at 1:55pmCorine, where did you conduct that interview? I think you should combine your interviews with the restaurant reviews! If you interviewed him at some restaurant, I mean. What do you think? He seems like a really sweet guy? Was he really that sweet in person?
