Jersey Boys SR tickets?

I posted a thread like this before but I wanted to post a current one. Has anyone got JB standing room tickets lately? If so, what time did you get there and how was the line?

At the August Wilson on October 21st, I saw two of my friends waiting in line three hours for SRO tickets and although I'm not sure how many SRO spots are available, there were 12 people in line for them. Also, another line formed inside the box office for cancellation tickets.

The SRO line is outside in between the box office and stage door.

There are 10 SRO tickets available. I would imagine that with JLY leaving this month it may be a bit harder to get these tickets.

All my friends I've spoken to were purchasing advance August Wilson tickets at the box office to cover most shows before John Lloyd Young leaves too. After that, it's still business as usual and their interest in the play will not decline. It's tough thinking about it, but am more than sure that John's replacement wont disappoint.

so do you mean people stood in line for more than 3 hours to get ticket then stood another 2.5 hours to watch the show? This is crazy. Sigh, I want to do SRO for JB as well but I can only visit the city on weekend. Now I am not even sure I can get a standing room ticket.

You probably can't. When I did the cancellation line a few weeks ago, the SRO line for that day's matinee had started at 8:45 a.m.

One of the regulars said the show is so much fun that you don't even notice you're standing that long. Ha. I like the show and all, but I don't really agree with that sentiment...

What about cancellation line? How early should I be there to get a ticket?

I got there at 10, and did get a ticket, but not until less than 10 minutes before the 3 p.m. curtain.
