I may go down to sf on saturday. How is the rush on weekends? What time should I plan on getting there?
Don't know if this helps, but I saw the show last Saturday evening and when I got there at 7:35pm there was a line of about 15 people waiting for tickets. Don't know if they all got in or not, but the normal scalper was still there too.

7:35? Rush tickets are sold 2 hours prior to the show... what were they waiting for? And have the scalpers already hit JB in SF?

I haven't rushed since late December, but when I did [on a Thursday], the first people in line got there 4 hours before the show [2 hours before the tickets would go on sale].

The 7:35 line was probably for cancellations. As far as the rush - I haven't done it yet, but I take the bus home past the Curran daily - and some days there are quite a few people there about 5:15 or so - Wednesday there was no one in line at that time, just a security guard looking like he was waiting for people to show. So it seems to vary.
I walked past there last night around 6:30 and there was no one waiting for anything except to buy advance tickets.

Oops! I guess I should of been more specific and say that I'm planning on seeing the matinee. But seeing as the rush for the evening is more crowded I'm assumong we might get tickets (there will be 4 of us)?
Just get there early :)
