Broadway.com just reported that Understudy Jessica Grové is set to take over the role of Miss Dorothy for the final week of performances of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Original star Angela Christian will depart the musical on June 9, Emily Rozek will play the role on June 11 and June 12 (when Grové had previously scheduled personal days off), and then Grové will step in for performances from June 13 through June 20.

YAY! I am very excited for her.
But it's sad that it is only a week--did you read on? She was supposed to take over for good!

Posted: 5/18/04 at 5:11pmAWWWWWW. that is incredibly bittersweet.. Her taking over.. wonderful!!!!!! but the fact that they are closing instead is SUCH a disappointment. Ah well... she won't be gone for long. Broadway can't let a girl like Jess go for very long!
