Do you think she will tour with the show as well?
Jessica Grove, who played Miss Dorothy late in the run of Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie, will star as Polly Browne in Goodspeed Musicals' production of Sandy Wilson's The Boy Friend, directed by the show's first Broadway Polly — Julie Andrews.
As previously reported, the production plays the Goodspeed Opera House July 8-Sept. 18 in East Haddam, CT, prior to a Goodspeed-produced national tour that begins this fall in Wilmington, DE.

Nobody is interested in this amazing talent?
I am! First off, I love The Boy Friend, I was in it my sophomore year of high school and it's a really great little show, relatively unknown, but yes it was Julie Andrews' Broadway debut show! I'd love to see it come back to Broadway eventually, but back to your post. Jessica Grove...I met her at the Snoopy Benefit Concert last year which her boyfriend, Deven May, was starring in. At that point she was still an understudy for Miss Dorothy in Millie. She is such a sweetheart, very girlish and I think she will make a simply adorable Polly Browne! I'm tempted to travel to the Goodspeed and go see it. I've never seen a professional production of The Boy Friend and it is such a fun show!
i wonder what happened to meredith patterson...
but grove deserves this she is amazing, still, after all those years clicking her heels together
