If you happen to be in the Chicago area next month, JCS will be playing at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrilville Indiana. Mark Summers of Nickelodeon's Double Dare and The Food Network's Unwrapped is playing Herod. The production also stars Michael Cunio as Jesus and Nicole Garza as Mary. It is certainly interesting casting, and may be worth a watch.

wish I could make it. It has to be better than the Broadway revival.
I'll just opt for the Physical Challenge.
I'm surprised as a JCS fan that Herod isn't treated as a celebrity cameo more often. I mean, sure, Jack Black played the role in that benefit eight years ago, and then there's Chris Moyles overseas in Webber's recent arena tour, but by and large, you don't see that choice made when it seems so obvious. (Example: I would readily have replaced Bruce Dow with Nathan Lane, who he was clearly aping, in the revival that just passed. I'd also have replaed Josh Young with Adam Lambert provided the latter was willing, but that's a story for another day.)

Don't forget Alice Cooper on the 1996 cast recording. It wasn't a live guest spot, but still pretty cool.
While that cameo could have been better if he had a little more freedom with interpreting the part, you're right, I did forget.
