So in services today, when I should have been paying attention but clearly wasn't, I started wondering what actors I knew of that were Jewish. I know just about every producer is, but I couldn't think of too many actors/actresses offhand. Of course Harvey and a couple others came to mind, but not too many.
So...if Adam Sandler were to do a Broadway version of his famous Chanukah Song, who'd be included?

Marc Kudisch tells of auditioning for a Neil Simon play (I think BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, but I'm not sure) and was told by Simon that he was good but he "didn't look Jewish enough" for the part.
Marc commented: "But WE look like THIS!"

Next, why don't we add up all the people with Native American blood. How about light-skinned blacks vs. dark-skinned blacks?

Oy. If these boards have taught me anything, it's to not even try arguing with people who find something offensive.
So I won't - rather, I'm sorry you find this thread offensive, and I would hope you know that wasn't my intention. You are free to ignore it, and if enough people agree with you, it'll soon disappear.

Posted: 10/4/05 at 9:10pmDaphne Rubin-Vega is half jewish , Adam pascal is jewish , Liev Schreiber , Jeff Tambor , Fred Weller are all we had passover seder with the glen gary cast including Alan Alda as well whos wife is jewish , Britt Shubow ..there are lots.

But isn't it her choice what religion she wants to follow?
Or are you saying that she denies her . . . racial (would that be the right word?) heritage as a jewish woman? Cause I would suppose it's possible to be of jewish heritage but not practice Judaism.

I agree. And who really cares? Besides, Broadway/Hollywood, isn't "everyone" Jewish in this field of business? So to speak.

It may provide you with a interesting perspective . And Happy New Year to those who are celebrating it whether they are on Broadway or not!

Ooohh On The Kathy Lee Tip.......I know y'all have seen the E True Hollywood Story on her!!!
Her family as awhole was Jewish...until one day her mother started watching Billy Graham and learned about Jesus...and eventually she converted their father and the children and they all became christians...and Kathy Lee even started singing Christian Music....she's got a record out there somewhere.
She never denied she was Jewish...she openly talked about it on E!
Don't say someone is "denying" there religious affiliation when they openly talk how they were once Jewish.
There are 2 things you don't discuss in certain places cause it causes problems Politics and Religion.
