Why did this play in the August Wilson cycle never make it to broadway? All the others seemed to...it seems so odd that only one of these plays didn't make it (well, the last installment is playing now, and will -- according to Playbill -- be on Bway in the 2006/7 season).

Anyone know?

It had an extended and award winning run off-Broadway produced by Second Stage with a first rate ensemble. It simply never had the box office to justify a move to Broadway (and given all of Wilson's plays except Fences and maybe the Piano Lesson lost money, it wasn't a bad decision).
