Jobs on Broadway — Page 2

In terms of times and the whole 9-5 thing; from essentially every job and every internship I've ever held in theatre, the theater world is 10-6. Maybe 9:30-9:45 if you're the office manager or the executive assistant or something. I'm sure there are theatre-related companies that do start at 9, but without a doubt, the majority are 10-6. Think about it -- even box offices open at 10.

I've gotten so used to it that I forget what is or was considered "normal" is 9-5.

(I realize that you guys were talking more about regular office jobs and temps and stuff, but figured I'd throw that in anyway)

You should read this. It's a feature on Dallyn Bayles, an actor from Utah who's married with three kids, living in NJ and trying to make it on Broadway. He's an intern, an admin assistant, and an usher.

(Side note: I saw Dallyn as Enjolras several times on tour and he's incredible. I hope he gets his break soon!)
