A good friend of John's here. I have come to know him personally and professionally. But I am also a BIG fan. I am new at BWW, I don't think there has been a thread like this.I want to hear from all of you who have love and admiration for this talented young man. Post your experiences at the Stage door, reflections on his performance and anything you want to say about him.

John is a fantastic performer on stage, and an absolute doll in person. He has a bright career ahead of him!

Yeah, Johnny is a good guy, he really cares about his fans. I would wait for him after a show, and he would hang at the stage door just talking for an hour or more...He told me once, he remembers what it was like for him when he would wait at a stage door.

John was amazing in the show. I wept at the funeral scene. He's such a rock star. He was the one I wanted to meet after the show. He was nice and personable. He talked to everyone and it was so genuine. No contrived BS with him...he took the time out to ask people where they were from, what shows they had seen, things like that. I got a picture with him. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it off of the camera so I was bummed. But I will being seeing the show the next time I'm in NYC and hopefully, get a new picture.

Don't wait too long to return to SA-JGallagher is in contract negotiations. The cast's contracts are up in Movemeber. He is hoping to stay.

John is one of my favorite performers! I was in the city a few weeks ago and I saw SA for the first time on stage on 7/12. He made the character of Moritz so real to me - I was really moved. Not only is he brilliant as an actor, he's the sweetest person. He was feeling sick that day, but he still went out the stage door and talked to everyone for a long time. We had a nice conversation and he even gave me birthday wishes (it was my b-day the next day). It was really cool. =) He's so humble and he's on his way to become a bigger star than he is right now.
I live in Florida, so I don't get to go see Broadway shows all that often. Luckily, I get to come back in the winter for college auditions, and there's no doubt that I will be seeing this show again. I hope Johnny's still in by the time I get there *crosses fingers*.
If I can find my camera, I'll probably post my picture with John, Krysta, and my friends at the stage door.

That doesn't surprise me that he came out to talk to his fans even when feeling ill. I have known John to do that. He is a great person and wants to make everyone's SA experience a special one.

Have yet to actually see Spring Awakening, but from what I've seen of him in it (Tony Awards, B-roll footage, Shubert Alley performances, etc), he's absolutely phenomenal.
Had the opportunity to see his band last night at the Zipper - that was pretty effin' amazing. They were ridiculously good.

Hey Fishergirl- I was there last night as well. OSP is a great band. They were awesome last night and so well deserved of their popularity.
You should get tix for SA and see John perform "Mortiz" live-he is electric on stage, truly ROCKS!!
