John Lithgow out from 6/14-18?

New York City Ballet is performing "Carnival of the Animals", which John Lithgow narrates and performs (if you want to see John Lithgow dressed as an overweight elephant nurse dancing ballet, you have got to see this ballet!) from 6/14-6/18. Will John Lithgow skip out on DRS for a week? I can't see NYC Ballet having someone else perform the piece; John Lithgow wrote the narration and performed it before he started DRS.

Wow I have tickets to DRS 6/15...my heart is sinking anyone know if he will be there?

Does anyone know if Nick Wyman will be going on for John on those dates? I'd love to catch him in the role; I know he'd be wonderful.

TO be fair, the toughest thing John does at NYCB is get himself in a fat suit and wear lots of makeup...much easier than doing DRS

When I was there last week they still had Nick Wyman listed in the playbill as the standby for John Lithgow.

the other understudy is named tom galantich, so if nick wyman isn't going on he would be your man

I heard that Norbert might be out the first week of July. Can anyone point me to somewhere that might confirm this? I have tickets for July 6. I am not the type to refuse to go to a show that a lead is out of, but I kind of wanted to see the performance everyone is talking about.

Yes, Norbert is out the first week of July
JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

Bump...Telecharge doesn't confirm this at all...Is there anyway its not true? Where did the list of dates that Lithgow would be out come from?

While we're on the subject of DRS cast members being out, Gregory Jbara will be out June 26-July 2.

I don't think anyone at Telecharge has a list of vacation days. Best bet is the box office.
