Did anyone else here attend John's last performance in Hairspray yesterday evening?
I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable show, despite some bloopers. John's ad-libs during "Timeless" went on for an eternity (as to be expected on his last night) and had the crowd in stitches. The best had to be his ad-lib about Shannon Durig tripping in the jailhouse scene earlier by saying "Our daughter fell in the jail!" and then quickly adding "It'd be a bitch if I fell!" as he looked down at the front row. Receiving a personal handshake from John at the curtain call was the icing on the cake. He will be missed!

Aw, John Pinette was wonderful as Edna. He will be missed, but I am so glad Blake Hammond was chosen to replace him; he is excellent!

His adlibs during Timeless will definitely be missed. John's had a number of good ones he's throw in during his time at HS. He also added that he "was in big trouble and Im sure the understudy is ready to go on now" after he said bitch...lol. He also did one about "let me show you my ethel merman" and proceeded to sing some showtunes...
Overall a great night at the 'Spray and Shannon saying "ladies and gentleman...mr john pinette" right before the final part of You Cant Stop the Beat reprise had the crowd going crazy.
