I dunno, but I intend on taking some myself tomorrow night! Whahoo!! Anyone who saw the show tonight, how early do you have to get there to get good seats?

If you have a reservation, then your table will be waiting for you as long as you show up by your reservation time. They say that they hold the table for 10 minutes. If you don't have a reservation, try to get there as early as possible--they open up at 6PM, and tonight the line was already forming by 5:45. Without a reservation, it is general admission, first come, first served.

John put on a great show tonight! Have fun tomorrow.

John was very funny.

I am afraid to give specifics before John's two shows tomorrow, and ruin any potential surprises.

I was there with Jo.
The show was amazing especially the music from Phobe Kreutz who is a hot new songwriter in the making.
It was a blast. I only wish he did Rod's Turn.
John is so much fun.
It was way to short.

Jen Barnhardt was also amazing as was the cute redhead Lucas.

Of course I'll also be there tomorrow for both shows. Was there really any doubt that I would be? lol

It was an amazing show. It only lasted an hour, but I could have sat there for an hour more. The songs and routines were all great!! Me and my friend got there at 6:40 and they said it was standing room only-which sucked b/c you couldn't stand anywhere without blocking someone. When the show started we found an empty table that was supposed to be reserved for press-guess they didn't care enough about Johnny T to show up.

Yeah, my one complaint was also that it was way too short. His show at Ars Nova was also short as I recall. But John is sooooo funny and personable. After the shows tonight, everyone can go crazy talking about the show specifics!

Corine, was Lucas a redhead? Why do I remember him being blond?

That is why I always make sure to make a reservation at Joe's Pub, so a table will be waiting for me. If you sit, you have to meet the minimum anyway, so you might as well reserve in advance. Just a suggestion for anyone who goes there in the future.

aw, I'm glad it was great. I knew it would be!! I really wanted to go, but AIDA was yesterday and classes begin tomorrow, so I can't really go tonight etiher.

Lucas was blonde, at least from where I was sitting he was lol.

Um, I don't do reservations, I just get there early enough to get myself a seat at the bar and all is perfect from there. No minimum and I get to sit.

Anyway, I'll be there tonight too so if anyone steals my seat at the bar after reading this I'll know who it is *shifty glance*

Yeah-even though we sat at a table, the waitress gave us menus but then never came back. So me and my friend just left after the show and didn't pay anything because our waitress just forgot us there. Oh well, $12 richer. :)

Edit: I don't know which show you're going to, the 7 or the 9:30 but either way it should be able to be done, just easier after the second one I'd imagine.

I've tried a couple of times and never won. And that was before the Tony Awards--I can just imagine how crowded it is now!!
