Check his blog on his website. He has said that after working with AVENUE Q for so long, he wants to move on and try new projects. I know it's sad, but his decision is completely understandable.
This is just a question based on your icon WickedvsAvenueQDude-
Do they have barricades set up outside of the AVENUE Q stagedoor? I'm going next Saturday, and am hopeing to meet the cast- will there be a nasty barricade to meet me? And... the stagedoor to the John Golden Theatre is the one directly leading onto the sidewalk on 45th, right?
And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...
AnothaPartofMe, yes you are correct about the location of the stage door. And, yes there are barricades set up at the stage door as well. You can still take pictures and stuff there really are only two barricades and the actors walk around them anyway...I think it's more of a way to keep people from crowding the exit since three theatres share that exit traffic can get messy. I hope this answers your questions.

Well, I kinda answered this too late. Yes there is a barricade, but its not really necessary. The actors walk rite pass/around them to take pics w/ u. Its kinda easy to meet them too, cuz not many ppl go to the stage door (its nothing like being outside the Gershwin stage door, which is ashame really, these actors deserve much more attention and recognition. However, the door is also the stage door for the theatre next to the golden theatre, I don't remember its name.
hmmmm, im bored. You probally clicked on this for info on John. Ummmm yay im asking again. So whats Johns new project now that hes gonna be leavin Avenue Q
