VOICES FROM THE GREAT WHITE WAY
The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to welcome Broadway’s JOHN TREACY EGAN for a one night only concert, as part of our celebrated Voices from the Great White Way Series. The series is well underway with sold out engagements from Becca Ayers (South Pacific), Donna Lynne Champlin (Sweeney Todd), Luba Mason (Chicago), Barbara Walsh (Company) and Christine Andreas (The Scarlet Pimpernel). This one night only concert takes place on Monday, September 22nd @ 7pm. There is a $25 cover, as well as a $15 food or beverage minimum (a full bar and dinner menu is available). The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave), in the heart of New York’s theatre district. For reservations, which are recommended, please call 212 695 6909.
As of January, 2008, John Treacy Egan is knocking them dead as Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid on Broadway. Previously, John lead the Broadway cast of The Producers as Max Bialystock, a role he played after having also portrayed Roger Debris and Franz Liebkind in the hit Broadway production. John was an original company member of the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde (Atlantic Recordings/Broadway Television Networks), and appeared in the National Tours of Cats and Kiss Me Kate. Off-Broadway, John created roles in Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, (RCA Recordings) and Batboy, the Musical. Regional credits include A Streetcar Named Desire, Chess, Children of Eden and Master Class. John can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Violet and Parusia, as well as Broadway’s Greatest Gifts and Linda Eder’s Christmas Stays the Same. Television appearances include As the World Turns, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Bravo Presents Linda Eder in Concert.
