Hi all! I'm working on a research paper about Jonathan Larson and I can't seem to find any information about his CHILDHOOD, only his later years through death on all the sites and databases I've been on.
I know this should probably be on the student board, but I figured I'd get more responses here.
Thanks a bunch!
Check out the "Rent" book and the "Jonathan Sings Larson" CD
The best place for his childhood info (and just info in general) is the second disc of the Rent movie. It has a reeeeally long documentary called "No Day But Today" which is arguably the most comprehensive version of Jonathan's story.
The Rent Bible is good too, but moreso for an over-all picture of how the show was produced than for Jonathan's own story.

I was going to say what Gobstopper said, there's a great look at his life in the documentary on the Rent movie DVD.

There was a long article in the NY Times about him shortly after Rent opened.
Oh there is info in the Rent Bible? Good. I have it, and I was planning on using it. Thanks for all the info guys!!!
