Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

Has anyone seen Jonathan Rayson in LSOH?
Just wondering what people think of his work.

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw him twice... my favorite Seymour! He's very, very talented and a really nice guy. I hope to see him on Broadway again soon.

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw Rayson in Little Shop in February. He did an excellent job - very believable as Seymour.

He is great! The tone of his voice sounds JUST like Hunter, but I think his vocals are better. You will NOT be dissapointed.

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw the Little Shop tour last weekend in Lansing. Jonathan is a great singer, and yes...he does sound like Hunter, but is good in his own right. Tari Kelly (Audrey) is also fantasmagorical too. Both of them are very sweet, as i found when i got to meet them and go backstage after the show. they were very cool and answered all of my questions.

There were only a few times (some higher notes) where I thought, "Whoa! Hunter!" -- cause yeah, he's awesome in his own right. Does a lot more with the role, IMO.

There are audio clips on his official website... not from LSOH, though. re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw him in the period between Hunter Foster and Joey Fatone. He was an amazing Seymore! I can't wait to see him on tour. re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw him. I thought he was fantastic, what a voice. Super sweet and such a perfect fit for Seymore

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

when i saw the tour in philly i noted at the time that with the exception of one weak link the cast is amazing. That link, of course is james moye who plays orin et al., however its not entirely his fault, i remember an intervoew that doug sills did saying that jerry zaks was insistant that all of his characters sound at least slightly similar. Unfortunately moye's, with the exception of the first 3 words any of his characters utter, identical.

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw both Jonathan and Hunter, and preferred Jonathan in the role. Then again, I saw Jessica and Kerry, and preferred Jessica, so maybe it was just that one show that was so incredible.
JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

Based on the clips from his site, I could definitly see him doing a great Seymour. If the tour ever comes near LA again I really hope I can hear him in person. re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart. -Scrubs

re: Jonathan Rayson as Seymore?

I saw Jonathan play Buddy in Side Show a few years ago - that was a treat! It's interesting to hear that people like him more than Hunter. What about Anthony?

I wish Jonathan updated his website more often. Perhaps a journal or 2... or 10? Maybe some pics.

I agree he is a sweetie and isnt backstage rockin cool? He took us on a tour when he was understudying in NY. Fun times!
Can't wait to see him play the role!!
