Josefina Scaglione Cast as Maria in WEST SIDE STORY Revival?

'Argentina's LA NACION newspaper is reporting that young actress Josefina Scaglione will portray Maria in the 2009 revival of West Side Story. The 21 year old Scaglione is a trained opera singer and has been in a production of Hairspray. She will also portray Christine in a production of The Phantom of the Opera in Argentina, it is reported that she was told of winning the role of Maria by Arthur Laurents himself. A spokesman for the show had no comment at this time on the reported casting...'
