If you are referring to me, I was not tearing the show apart (although it is my opinion that Judy Drag is passe and cliche), I was tearing apart the fact that they were SHILLS in the worst way and using copyrighted images to sell the show.

I was invited to the opening but sadly can't go as I can't walk.
Sucks to be me. PS. I love JUDY DRAG and all drag queens.
I can't get enough of drag as long as it is done well.
(Although I am hard to please, I see the best Judy drag at Forbidden Broadway!)

as far as i am concerned the great Ms Garland has been lucky enough to be remembered by great tribute artist's through the years, and personally i love it!

Sadly, I have not seen this version of Forbidden Broadway as the theater has steps. I have not been able to get around and have not seen theater since my accident.
Judy has been in various versions of FB and LIZA of course.
I think Judy was in two versions ago.

I haven't seen Judy & Me.
But I understand it has the blessing of author John Fricke, who wrote several (positively spun) books on Garland and The Wizard of Oz. Fricke is usually very critical of Judy impersonators.

I know this came up earlier, but how come the ruby slippers are still promoting the show on the website?
Additionally, did anyone get permission to use Judy's recordings that are all over the site? Usually when they do it correctly, they have to print something saying "Used with special permission from..." But I don't see that on the site.
Seems like the producers haven't really crossed all their T's and dotted their I's.
I certainly hope there's no one out there that might call the appropriate parties to make sure everything's being done above board.
Additionally, is it Off-Broadway if it's non-equity? I'm wondering if anyone knows who determines Broadway vs. Off, I've heard several different things over the years...

Broadway to Off-Broadway, I believe, has to do with the number of seats in a theatre. The theatre that this is playing at IS an Off-Broadway theatre; however, it's a non union production taking place in a house that can produce union work.
Am I wrong about any of this? I could very well be. This is just bits of information I've acquired.

it is up to the producer of any venue whether a production is equity or non-equity. It is never a constant... although some theatres only have union work... it just depends

Corine, I hear Forbidden Broadway is touring. Maybe they could do a show for you in their living room!
What did the Judy Drag do in Forbidden Broadway?
I remember seeing Forbidden Hollywood (terrible) that had a Judy segment, but it was done by a woman.

ive had the pleasure of working with chris brick many times before. hes extremely talented. just for the sake of seeing his work, i cant wait to see the show
